Le monde, alimenté par l'or noir qui avait créé les grandes cités de tubes d'aciers disparu. De puissantes tribus entrèrent en guerre, alimentant le brasier de la convoitise et du pouvoir.

Sans carburant, leur empire n'était plus rien et le grondement des machines s’éteignit. Les chefs se réunir, mais rien ne pouvait arrêter le fléau qui rongeait l'humanité. Le monde s'écroula, les villes explosèrent, les hommes vendirent leurs âmes pour un bidon d'essence.

Seuls les pillards les plus impitoyables et les mercenaires les plus mobiles ont survécu. Menée par le Road Warrior, une tribu rêvait d'un nouveau monde, là-bas quelque part au bout de leur route.
